My realtor asked me if I wanted to add anything to the townhouse I’m buying. I told her that I wanted CAT 6 and coax cable drops in each bedroom and the family room with the cables run to the closet in the guest bedroom that I plan to use as an office. Her expression was almost as good as the builder’s expression when we told him. I believe the word is nonplussed.

I spent most of the day trying to figure out a problem with a web site I’m creating. By the time I found the likely solution it was way past my bedtime, so I’ll try it tomorrow.
WHY WOMEN MAKE BETTER ASSASSINS The CIA had an opening for an assassin. After all the background checks, interviews and testing were done, there were three finalists: two men and a woman. For the final test, the CIA agents took one of the men to a large metal door and handed him a gun. “We must know that you will follow your instructions no matter what the circumstances. Inside the room you will find your wife sitting in a chair. Kill her.” The man said “You can’t be serious. I could never shoot my wife”. The agent said, “Then you are not the right man for this job. Take your wife and go home.” The second man was given the same instructions. He took the gun and went into the room. All was quiet for about five minutes. The man came out with tears in his eyes, “I tried, but I can’t kill my wife.” The agent said, “You don’t have what it takes, so take your wife and go home.” Finally, it was the woman’s turn. She was given the same instructions to kill her husband. She took the gun and went into the room. Shots were heard one after another. They heard screaming, crashing, and banging on the walls. After a few minutes, all was quiet. The door opened slowly and there stood the woman, wiping sweat from her brow. “The gun was loaded with blanks” she said. “I had to kill him with the chair.”

Someone pointed out to me that only during leap years will February have a weekday occur five times, e.g., Thursday the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. I don’t know what to do with that information other than share it here.
I’m planning a road trip, and as I was looking at maps, I starting thinking about Smokey and the Bandit, specifically the bet to drive from Atlanta to Texarkana, pick up 400 cases of Coors beer, and drive back in 28 hours.
According to Apple Maps, Atlanta to Texarkana is 669 miles with a 10 hour drive time. I don’t think the route was substantially different in 1977, and while the speed limit was 55 mph, I don’t know that it would have added 8 hours to the overall time.
Maybe I’m mistaken, but that trip doesn’t sound like that big of a challenge. It certainly seems like pairing up in the semi to share the driving would have been more efficient and safer. You don’t get a silly movie that way, though.
