Why is it that the procurement / vendor management / supply chain management / whatever the hell they call it department is always the most bureaucratic department in every organization? The other day someone asked why that department where we work has two systems that you have to use to make a purchase. My response was “Because they couldn’t have three.”

The day I closed on the house my lawn service showed up. At least I have a month to cancel it.

I changed my car registration to KY today. I was going to change my driver’s license, but decided not to since I used my GA license as ID for the house closing. With my luck, they’d run into a problem and ask for my ID again, they wouldn’t match, and then I’d be down a legal rabbit hole.
The closing is done. I’ll get my license changed on Monday.
