Good news from the doctor. My knee has healed to the point where he doesn’t need to see me until next May unless I have a problem. He wants me to come in for a one year follow up.

I need to keep working on getting back to normal, e.g., being able to stand up without pain and taking stairs normally.

Stay healthy and safe.

I got a later start than planned, but I still made it to NC by 9 PM; early enough to watch episode 3 of House of the Dragon.

Amazon released the first two episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power yesterday. I believe that releasing the first two episodes was unexpected. Word is that the powers that be felt the first episode was kind of slow (it was) so they needed to get the second episode out at the same time, as it had more action.

I watched them both. It’s a fine show so far. Nothing groundbreaking. Just a fun way to spend an evening.

In other news I solved the WiFi connectivity issue I mentioned yesterday.

I’ve been playing around with my home network. My goal is to set up a separate WiFi network for devices I don’t want to have internet access, such as smart light bulbs, while still being able to access them from my phone, which would stay on my main WiFi network. I’ve figured out the first part but the second part is working yet. I’ll tackle that tomorrow.

Stay healthy and safe.

The world is just so addicted to hanging onto a lot of stuff, as opposed to being clean and clear. So I highly recommend you look around. What books need to be given away? What clothes need to be given away? What shoes have you not worn for two years? Where can you give those things away that people might be able to use that?

So look around your environment and say, how functional is it? How useful is it? How current is it in terms of the reality of these things and their meaning to you? And that’s fine. There’s no right or wrong in terms of whatever that volume is. It may be whatever it is that you want, how ever much you feel comfortable. But most people feel slightly uncomfortable about what’s still in their closet, what’s still in the drawers of their desk, what’s still anywhere. So now’s a good time, when I say “When in doubt, clean a drawer”, it’ll help a ton.

In 2013 Funny or Die released a parody video movie trailer for Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.

In 2022 Hulu will release a movie co-written by Weird Al called Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.

As someone commented, “We are actually getting a parody of a parody of a living parody.”

Daniel Radcliffe as Weird Al. Evan Rachel Wood as Madonna. Rainn Wilson as Doctor Demento. This may be the greatest film ever made.

Maybe the second greatest film ever made.
