The word of the day is domino.

I decided to upgrade the graphics card in in my Windows desktop PC. I picked out the card I wanted and realized that it requires a larger power supply. I ordered the card and the power supply last night and picked them up today. When I installed the power supply in my case I discovered that the mounting holes don’t match the ones in my case. So I ordered a new case today. In fairness, I have a pretty old case and the new case wasn’t very expensive. Still, I’m waiting to discover which puzzle piece won’t fit next.

Stay healthy and safe.

I just finished work for the day. I think I have the budgets figured out for my projects. I’ve been updating forecasts and bugging people to reclassify time they charged to old charge codes. My head is swimming in numbers. It’s a good thing I know how to swim.

Stay healthy and safe.

I don’t know if playing college football is a good idea, but this is funny.

When I started this diary I made a commitment to keep it apolitical. Today I’m trying very hard not to say anything here about recent events in Kenosha. If you’re reading this then you probably know me well enough to know where I stand. If not, contact me privately and I’ll be happy to share my thoughts with you.

Stay healthy and safe.

Song of the Day

Here’s a little piece of advice
You’re quite welcome it is free
Don’t do nothing that is cut price
You know what that’ll make you be
They will try their tricky device
Trap you with the ordinary
Get your teeth into a small slice
The cake of liberty

I got a new MacBook yesterday. I got my last one in 2012. I was hoping to get ten years out of it, but eight’s pretty good. I used the hell out of that machine, and I’ll get some more use out of it; just not as my personal laptop.

In other news, someone posted on Twitter that their truck just hit 200,000 miles. Congratulations. My car’s about to hit 290,000. Get back to me in a few years.

Stay healthy and safe.
