I had a mouse in the house. I think it was a mouse. I caught and released one three times, each time further away from my property. I haven’t caught another mouse since, so either I finally released it far enough away that it didn’t come back, or I got all of them.

This is a good opportunity to remind you that if you get a mouse, immediately adopt a Scottish accent and rant about “the crrrrazy moose loose in the hoose!” This exponentially increases the probability of a baby kangaroo showing up, although only your cat will know for sure.

Stay healthy and safe.

When I started doing this over two years ago I made a conscious decision not to discuss politics. I’m going to bend that rule slightly today, perhaps, and say that I’m thankful that Emmanuel Macron defeated Marine Le Pen for the presidency of France.

As I write this I’m watching Darkest Hour. It’s a solemn reminder that we can’t let authoritarianism win. We can’t let people like Vladimir Putin and his ilk prevail. We can’t allow extremism to continue to rise, anywhere in the world. We have to stand together, regardless of our differences, and always fight for freedom, any and every way we can.

Stay healthy and safe.

My personal projects this week involved mounting my desktop PC and family room TV on rolling carts. That way I can sit in my easy chair and play video games. I can also roll the TV closer to my chair if I want, and plug my desktop PC into my TV so I can play video games on the big screen.

These are just a few of the many perks of living alone, as the Drew Carey Show once illustrated.

Stay healthy and safe.
