I once sat in a McDonald’s drive-thru line a couple of cars behind someone that took at least five minutes to order. They took another five minutes – minimum – at the window. When I got to the window I said to the employee “I’m not complaining but I’m curious, What was going on with that person that took so long?” They rolled their eyes, shook their head, and said “Coupon freak.”
Portions of north Georgia will see rain mixing with or changing to snow, sleet, and freezing rain mainly tonight through Sunday. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for portions of northeast and northwest Georgia and a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for generally along and north of the I-20 corridor. Strong winds of 25 mph gusting up to 35 mph are likely tonight into Sunday for north GA and much of central Georgia along with gusts up to 50 mph in the northern higher elevations. A Wind Advisory remains in effect for north Georgia and much of central GA. A High Wind Warning has also been issued over the area over which the strongest winds are expected overnight, roughly along the I-20 corridor in west Georgia and north of I-85 in east Georgia.

In other words, if any road ices up within a 50 mile radius of downtown Atlanta, the entire metro area will shut down. Drivers will begin to run off the road, even on dry pavement. People will be overcome with an insatiable desire to make French toast. All the more reason to stay home.
I went on a nostalgia kick and started a re-watch of Speed Racer. I also watched the 2008 film, which I found wonderfully silly. I may re-watch Ultraman next.
