Earlier today a friend passed away from COVID-19. Courtney was fully vaccinated but still contracted it and had been dealing with long COVID for some time. She had a chronic lung condition that contributed to her struggle. She had recently finished a graduate degree and leaves behind her husband and other family members.
I’ve known other people that have died from this disease, but this is the first person that I consider to be my friend. If this has happened to you then you know how I feel. If it hasn’t then I hope it doesn’t.
