July’s almost over. School starts here on August 4th. 180,000 students, almost all returning to classrooms. With the Delta variant spreading, I’m glad I don’t have children in K-12 anymore.

Digital and physical decluttering today. Cleaned up some files on my laptop, packed up a couple of purchases I need to return, and put some things into storage.

I spent the afternoon doing some digital decluttering; updating passwords, closing accounts on sites I don’t use anymore, and deleting information for sites that don’t exist anymore (quite a few of those).
If you don’t use a password manager, consider it. I use 1Password but there are several good ones available.

In our last executive project review one of our executives asked for some data we didn’t have on hand. We told them we’d get the data to them. We’ve spent countless hours getting the data, discussing how to present it, and putting together PowerPoint slides to send to them. When they get it they’ll probably say “What’s this? I asked for this? Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. I don’t need to see that.”
