The COVID-19 Diary: Sunday 11 October

We had a fun D&D session today. The plot continues to thicken and the players have an interesting choice to make based on an offer they received.

I started playing D&D in 1980 and have played table top role playing games (ttrpgs) off and on since then. Two of the players in our current group are people I met through the hobby and have known since 1990. One of them pointed out today that two of the other players in the group weren’t alive then. In other words, some of us are old.

I love this hobby because it’s a way for me to be creative, both in preparing for the games and running the games, and it’s a way to connect with people that have similar interests. It’s also a fun way to unplug from reality, which is especially important for me given our current situation.

I hope you have something like this that you can turn to for pleasure and satisfaction. We have to keep living our lives, regardless of the circumstances.

Stay healthy and safe.
