A big part of the reason I love running table top role playing games is the conversations. Near the end of today’s game the players freed an efreeti, who offered them three wishes as a reward.
Kathra, the dwarf bard who is very much the voice of reason in the group: “We don’t want ’em!”
Tavaner, the gnome wizard who’s always looking for an angle (and is Kathra’s husband in real life): “Well, now hold on. We could use those to accomplish our goal.”
“No way! You know how they always twist around wish granting so it backfires!”
“Since we’re at the end of the session we can table this until next time and think about what to do.”
This led to a conversation about the validity of wishing for more wishes, wishing for more genies or for the ability to wish for more wishes instead, the traditional Aladdin folk tale, and three wishes jokes, especially the giant pumpkin head version.
Spend time with interesting, funny people.
Stay healthy and safe.
